Ring Exchange with Stories | A Long-Awaited Flow State: The Pure Joy of Creating Verve

This is the second ring I’ve ever made by hand.
When I first tried wax carving, I was constantly amazed while working — how could making something bring such intense happiness? In that moment, I completely sank into a “flow state.” Time disappeared, leaving only overflowing passion, total focus, and endless energy.
It had been so long since I last felt this way. It truly touched me.
That’s why I named this ring Verve — the word carries meanings of enthusiasm, vitality, and liveliness. It perfectly captures that pure, glowing joy of creation I want to remember forever.
The ring was intentionally designed: I put a lot of thought into the overall shape, stone placement, proportions, and balance. However, the textures on the band — those rough yet full-of-life wax-carving marks — came entirely from the flow state. My hand simply followed my feelings, carving stroke by stroke in a natural, unforced way. They’re like fingerprints of that exact emotion: unique and deeply authentic.
For the first version, I chose an orange triangular zircon to express that burning passion with a hint of rebellious spirit. Later I made a brass version paired with a clean white square stone, adding layers of calm and balance.

What makes it extra special: it was the very first ring I sold at a market. That moment moved me deeply. It felt like someone, from afar, truly saw and recognized the love I poured into it.
Now, I’d like to find a new owner for this ring.
This time, it’s not for sale with money — it’s an exchange for your story.

How to submit: Leave a comment directly on the blog, send via IG DM, or email. Please include your story (mainly text, Chinese or English 150 words or more), a description of how you felt in the moment, and your contact info (email or IG). If you’d like, you’re very welcome to attach a photo from when you were in flow (not required, but it does help me feel your state more vividly ♡).
One entry per person: For fairness, each person may submit only one story. Multiple entries will be considered invalid.
Submission deadline: Within 30 days from the publication date of this post (i.e., until March 13, 2026), or 7 days after receiving the 5th valid submission, whichever comes first.
Selection process: I will personally read every entry and choose the one that moves me the most and best connects with the creative spirit of Verve. The judgment is subjective (after all, this is an exchange of flow and passion), but I promise to read each one with care. The organizer reserves the final right of interpretation and the right to exclude inappropriate content.
After winning: Once the winner is announced, I’ll contact you privately to confirm ring size, material preference (silver / brass), shipping address, and other details. I expect to finish and ship it within 4–6 weeks (international shipping may take longer). If there are any challenges due to size or special requests, we’ll discuss and adjust beforehand.
Other notes: This is purely a sharing and exchange activity with no commercial intent. I will respect everyone’s privacy — no full stories will be shared publicly without permission (I may share short excerpts of the winning story only with your consent).
